Thursday evening was a highlight for any Essex bride-to-be with the Rock The Frock bridal showcase held at Hylands House. I had the pleasure of helping out with makeup for the catwalk so I thought I'd share a few details of what was a fantastic evening...and some snaps of the backstage action soon too!
The evening was hosted by Rock The Frock owner Karen and consisted of not one, but two catwalks, live music, canapés, drinks and a whole host of local wedding suppliers, on hand to chat about all important 'big-day' details.
On display were some truly amazing bridal treats such as stunning jewellery from P.S. With Love, gorgeous Merle & Morris shoes, delicious drinks from The Duck & Pheasant Mobile Pub, & wedding day styling and co-ordination from awesome wedding planners Rock The Day Wedding Styling.
The catwalk consisted of bridal models and real brides modelling their very own Rock The Frock gowns, which made it all the more special. The gowns were from various designers, all getting lots of 'ooohs' from the crowds, but none more so that the spectacular dresses by designer Lucy Can't Dance. I fell in lover with her dip-dyed blue gown which was even prettier in person.
It was such a pleasure to work alongside hairstylist Lisa of Essex Wedding Beauty and RTF manager & MUA Claire prepping the 9 models for their two catwalks. The dresses, jewellery and flowers were absolutely gorgeous and Lisa created some truly stunning hairstyles which made my job incredibly easy.
I loved creating each models individual makeup look, from a 60s cat eye, flawless bronzed boho skin, silky smooth plum lips & sultry smokey eyes.
I can't wait to see the official photos from super-talented photographer Chloe Lee which I just know will be as gorgeously unique as the evening itself!
