I thought I'd launch my new blog by looking back on some of the fantastic weddings I've been lucky enough to be a litle part of this year.
Given that the weather has turned cold, rainy & let's face it, a bit miserable, I thought I'd cheer myself up by looking back over Stacy's pretty summer wedding last June. Stacy married Steve on a gloriously sunny day at Maison Talbooth, with an intimate ceremony witnessed by their sons, family & closest friends.
I was recommended to Stacy by her florist Caroline at Passionate Blooms and photographer Kerrie Mitchell whom I've worked with many times before. I in turn recommended hairstylist Lynnette Chasmer, so Stacy's wedding morning felt like a fun, local wedding team reunion.
Stacy's gown was very elegent lace and Lynnette had created soft side swept curls so Stacy and I both agreed it was important to keep her makeup looking soft & natural, whilst giving her a little colour and emphasis on her green eyes.
I kept Stacy's skin looking fresh and dewy with Dior's Star foundation, created warmth to compliment her olive skin with Benefit's Hoola and emphasised Stacy's green eyes using Urban Decay's eyeshadows Toasted & Sin.
It also transpired that Stacy and I not only live very (very!) close by, but have mutual friends and with young sons a lot in common, so it felt extra special being there to help her get ready for her big day.
I hope you'll agree she made a gorgeous bride!
Thank you Stacy and Kerrie Mitchell Photography for letting me use the images of your lovely day.
